MTV World Stage at Sunway Lagoon on July 31

KUALA LUMPUR: The international music showcase, MTV World Stage, returns to Sunway Lagoon Resort in Petaling Jaya on July 31.

The outdoor concert series, which made its debut last year, is top-lined by A-list names like sexy American pop singer Katy Perry, German glam rock outfit Tokio Hotel, South Korean pop divas Wonder Girls and local pop punk outfit Bunkface.

Tokio Hotel is making a swift return to Malaysia after playing a promo showcase here in early May. Katy Perry and Wonder Girls are set for their live debuts here.

Perry to make her Malaysian debut

“There’s nothing like the energy of fans enjoying live music from some of the world’s most popular recording arti stes.

“That is what MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia is all about,” said Indra Suharjono, executive vice-president/managing director, MTV Networks North and South East Asia.

MTV World Stage is anticipating a crowd of over 15,000 fans.

Fans can obtain passes from worldstage.mtvasia.com from now till July 17.
