KUALA LUMPUR: American pop star Katy Perry has arrived for her much awaited gig at the MTV World Stage tomorrow at Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach.
The 26-year-old Perry flew in from Los Angeles and showed no signs of jet lag upon arrival yesterday.
Smashing Perry: The pop star is expected to perform at the MTV World Stage at Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach Saturday.
Perry said she looked forward to performing in Malaysia for the first time. She was then whisked away in a limousine.
This is also her first visit to Asia since making it big in the music scene with her chart-smashing debut album, One of the Boys, in 2008.
She will be staying at the KL Hilton.
Warner Music Malaysia will be presenting Perry with a platinum award for having sold one million digital downloads of her three hit singles, I Kissed a Girl, Hot N Cold and Thinking of You in this country.
