Everyone knows that Kelly Clarkson has weight issues. She even admitted on her blog earlier this year that the cover photo for her All I Ever Wanted album was touched up (“they Photoshopped the crap out of me!” were her exact words). Now, folks are questioning whether the cover photo of the September issue of Self magazine was retouched too.

The editor-in-chief of the mag, Lucy Danziger, doesn’t deny making changes to the picture: “Yes. Of course we do retouching. Did we alter her appearance? Only to make her look her personal best.”
A-ha, did they alter the image so that she looked slimmer? “I think this photo is the truest we have ever put out there on the newsstand,” she adds. Does that mean the other cover pictures have even more alterations than this? We shudder at the thought!
