the first American Idol champion, Kelly Clarkson will be holding a one-night-only concert in Malaysia on April 25.
The “All I Ever Wanted Tour: Live in Malaysia 2010” concert will be held at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
The much-awaited event will be brought to Malaysia by Hotlink, the prepaid brand of Maxis Berhad.
The concert is part of Clarkson’s Asia Tour with other confirmed performance venues being Singapore, Jakarta, Taipei and Macau.
Kuala Lumpur will be the first Asian host city for Clarkson’s concert.
Maxis chief operating officer Jean-Pascal van Overbeke said: “The Malaysian appetite for data remains on an uptrend. Malaysia’s 3G subscriptions grew from a mere 427,000 users in 2006, to a tremendous 4.4 million users in 2008.

Maxis and Hotlink customers who download the Kelly Clarkson’s Caller Ringtone Package will enjoy exclusive discounts on concert tickets.
From March 26 till April 11, after they have downloaded the Caller Ringtone Package, Maxis postpaid customers are entitled to 30% off on tickets priced at RM138 and above — when they present any of the last three months’ bill (RM100 total bill and above) for validation at the ticket counter.
Hotlink prepaid customers will be entitled to the same discount rate upon top-up of RM100.
Meanwhile, from March 26 till April 20, Maxis postpaid customers will obtain a 10% discount on all ticket tiers upon presentation of their mobile phones with the Maxis logo on the screen.
Hotlink prepaid customers will be entitled to the same offer upon topping up RM30.
All discounts are only redeemable at the Sungei Wang Concourse Area and Galaxy office in The Boulevard, Mid Valley City.
In conjunction with the concert, Hotlink has lined up a host of exciting activities for its customers. Customers who wish to win free tickets to the concert may participate in the Kelly Clarkson Hitz.fm contest from April 12 to 23.
To do so, they just need to download the Kelly Clarkson caller ringtone package, then type Kelly Your Name Your IC, tell us why they want to “hook up with Kelly Clarkson” and send to 32111.
Participants with the best slogan will receive a call from Hitz.fm and win free tickets from Hotlink.
Meanwhile, 10 Hotlink and Maxis customers will have the opportunity to meet the star in person in a special meet and greet session.
To celebrate her one-night-only performance in Malaysia, Hotlink is offering a special caller ringtone package of three of Kelly Clarkson’s latest songs (Already Gone, Because Of You, My Life Would Suck Without You ) for only RM5. Three songs are refreshed monthly for RM5. To download caller ringtones, customers just need to dial *131*3*00019#. Kelly ‘Brianne’ Clarkson is an American pop singer, songwriter, and occasional actress.
Clarkson made her debut after she won the first season of the television series American Idol in 2002.
Clarkson has released four albums so far: her debut album Thankful (2003), her multi-platinum second album Breakaway (2004), My December (2007), and her latest album All I Ever Wanted (2009). Her first four albums have sold over 10.3 million copies in the United States.
In addition to her music, Clarkson had the lead role in the movie From Justin to Kelly (2003) along with Justin Guarini.
She played Brenda Lee in the television drama American Dreams and appeared in the sitcom Reba. She also participated in comedy skits on MADtv and Saturday Night Live (2005).
